Dear Pathways Staff,
I am eternally grateful for the tools I learned in my Pathways journey in 2009, especially the Medicine Game! I have been a single Mom of identical twin girls for the last 7 years...they are now 11 years old. I found out last August (2011) my daughter Ainsley has a Chiari 1 brain malformation and several months ago, her symptoms worsened. She is now in a wheelchair and had to have decompression surgery in Great Neck NY at the Chiari Institute. I lost my job August 13th because I had only been there 2 months and missed so much work between my mother dying (July 2nd, 2012) and and my daughter's condition. My daughter also has cerebral palsy which made diagnosis confusing.
Also, my other twin Sidney is displaying knots in the back of her skull and we are in the middle of tests and bloodwork as I type this and I stand on God's Promises and use my faith daily to allow Him to be in control...I surrender all every day.
As many of you and my Pathways Class 263 know, I have had multiple sclerosis for 10 years now, since I was age 34. Stress really triggers my symptoms, so I too am physically being challenged right now.
I share my story to help others who might need medicine from our "path walk" right now.
My contract I worked for and earned with JOY is and always will be...I AM A STRONG GODLY WOMAN"!!!
I have been able to teach my little girls about the medicibe game that helps me on a daily basis and that I am strong because of Jesus in me because we are made in God's image. I was one of the 4 survivors in that game at the Radisson Hotel in 2009. I am still a survivor. I've had family members, friends, strangers, doctors, co workers, and bosses abandon me because of such a dramatic situation, yet I'm completely at peace and walk in FORGIVENESS and do whatever it takes on an hourly basis to take care of me and my girls. I don't know the outcome of any of this yet I know and Trust WHO does.
If it weren't for the time my boss from 4 years ago, Kimberly Standiford, nominating me for tuition assistance and all my classmates help financially, and my OWN fundraising....I would not KNOW the masterpiece God made me to nor the power within me to tap into to survive JOYFULLY in this game of life on earth!
THANK YOU, God, for Kimberly Standiford, and Team Pathways. In two years and I look forward to attending Teen Family Camp with the 2 most gifted, precious children of God....my little mini me's...Ainsleyand Sidney Salzman. Note to self and those reading this...the last statement is MY STATEMENTOF FAITH!!!
