WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES: | Teens and their families face an unprecedented challenge in a culture ingrained with divorced families, blended families, and ease of disassociation promoted by My Space, blogs and umerous internet sites, not to mention the devastation that alcohol, drugs and internet pornography cast upon a family. When teens drift into these worlds, teens drift away from their parents. The typical communication issues between teens and parents are further exacerbated by the numerous opportunities for isolation presented by these cultural phenomena.
| | The Teen/Family Camp developed by Pathways Core Trainings Inc. (a non-profit corporation) targets that communication issue and confronts it with love and logic in an environment that inspires heart to heart sharing between teens and their parents. There is no other training anywhere that reaches the hearts of teens and their parents as deeply as the Pathways Teen/Family Camp. After 5 days of working together at a heart level, teens and families emerge reconnected, renewed emotionally and recommitted to each other.
| | All proceeds from the Get Real Golf Tournament are deposited into a segregated account dedicated to the growth, refinement and continuous improvement of Teen/Family Camp. Proceeds are used for tuition assistance to families who otherwise could not afford Teen/Family Camp, to defray the operational costs of Teen/Family Camp, to reimburse Pathways for expenses advanced to the Get Real Golf Tournament, and an overhead allocation to Pathways for the development and enrichment of Teen/Family Camp.
A critical goal of Pathways is to assist Teen/Family Camp with financial support from the Get Real Golf Tournament, to continue to gain national recognition as an endearing and enduring training that reunites teens and families on a heart to heart level, something hundreds of teens and their families have experienced for the past 18 years.
