Anyone who has ever worked for a nonprofit knows that not one goal would be accomplished without the volunteers who make it all possible. Pathways is no different. We rely heavily on our Volunteers for so many things. Recently, we held our Matters of the Heart Golf and Gala, and once again our volunteers shined! With a volunteer staff of more than 50… yes 50!… we were able to bring together our most successful event to date. Thank you does not begin to cover how much we appreciate all our volunteers did this year!

Beginning in April of this year, our Auction committee met to put together the wonderful silent and live auction we had at this year’s gala. Over the months, our team worked diligently procuring items and more people to help with the event.

The day of the golf tournament and the gala, our volunteers showed up early and stayed late to make sure that everything was done, and done well. Let me just say that our volunteers make us look really good!

Joel Osteen wrote, “One of the main reasons that we lose our enthusiasm in life is because we become ungrateful..we let what was once a miracle become common to us. We get so accustomed to its goodness it becomes a routine.” Let me say that we, as an organization, will never become so accustomed to the miracle of our volunteers that it becomes routine. We will never become so ungrateful that we fail to recognize that it is our volunteers who make this place a place of excellence.
